Truman's Tap Grill - Manatee County

We just left and had the pretzels bites were very good. The fries were very good. I ordered the beet salad and I only ate a small amount the dressing was to much vinegar. A beet salad needs a sweet dressing. I’ve eaten beet salad in so many places and ALWAYS has a sweet dressing and candied nuts. Need more beets. I was glad I only put that vinegar dressing on a tiny bit. I will go home with the rest and use the right dressing. Maybe a little lemon, honey and salt.The place was nice and clean and service was fine. My husband had the burger and he said it was just ok. Maybe we will come back try something else.

I love Truman’s Tap Grill in Lakewood Ranch! It’s a family-owned restaurant that offers excellent food, friendly staff, and the best happy hour drink specials in town. They have live music three nights a week, bingo, trivia, and a cozy atmosphere. It’s not a chain, so you can enjoy a unique and authentic dining experience. I highly recommend Truman’s Tap Grill to anyone looking for a great place to eat, drink, and have fun. Five stars!

First time here and it was a bit of a train wreck. Service was super slow, food came out visually burnt, manager said he was going to take it off the bill and didn't follow through. Honestly if it was just one or two of those issues I would have probably gave it a 3-4 stars because the live music was good. Replacement food wasn't the greatest either, not sure I will give this place another attempt. Dietary restrictions: They do have gluten-free options.

Frank at the bar and Taylor are my fav. They take care of me well every time I’m in. I love trivia Tuesday, music Wednesday and bingo Thursday. The food is exceptional. My personal go to are the fried mushrooms and the HOTTER THAN HELL burger. I also love the bar snacks and often take the salads to go for my work lunches. 10 out of 10.

I was invited here by a few friends who seem to like this place. Business hours are weird if you ask me they don't open until 3 so no good for lunch, and close too early so not really a bar. Food was ok, fried mushrooms were overcooked and there was only a handful on my plate.
