Solimar Aquamarine

One of the best hotels (if not the best) on Crete. We really enjoyed our stay here in late October. Everything was perfect, much thanks to whole crew of hotel. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Luxury, Great view, Romantic, Quiet, Kid-friendly, Great value, High-tech

Two disadvantages. 1) Average quality of the pool 2) The bartenders are a disaster you have to ask for a drink and be reminded every 30 minutes. You're standing alone at the bar and they clearly have a crush on you.... Rooms: 5 Service: 1 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Quiet

Service: Positive: The young lady at the reception was very nice. Helpful. Very fine. A waiter with a ponytail, cool. Helpful and willing to act. Negatives The bartender who is always offended in the evening bar, and when you order more drinks (we were in a larger group), he senses a conspiracy and you have to point out that there are more than 2 of us. (Ordered e.g. 5 drinks) The waiter, young, always offended, rude. During dinner, there is a real reluctance and the impression that he is there as a punishment. The owner is very nice to the kids. Food very average. The most annoying thing is that you have to ask for every drink. No Tincture. You can't even make coffee yourself. And it's great that they bring coffee... how irritating. Rooms: My room was constantly wet under the bed. The room is large and spacious. Large balcony. The maids were very nice. Nearby activities: Lack. You have to go everywhere by car Safety: No security guards, very quiet area Walkability: You can take a walk outside the hotel, there are pedestrian paths Food drinks: You cannot pour your own drinks at breakfast, lunch or dinner. It's annoying that you have to ask the waiter for everything. Noteworthy details: No attractions for kids. No animators. Children's room is a mess The swimming pool for children is not heated, but the attractions for children who are afraid of water falling on their heads are inconvenient. One slide.
