Bidrage med feedbackSlice and Dice: 4.0/5.0 Place for affordable but yummy steak and wings; the Junior T-Bone steak was surprisingly big enough but it's a little disappointing that it's char-grilled; garlic parmesan chicken wings were yummy too; not air-conditioned and small tables though.
This restaurant has recently re-branded itself and it seems like it is trying to aim for a fancier feel. Gone are the things that people loved most about the original Slice n' Dice (unlimited rice, iced tea, affordable steaks). The orders are now much more expensive, which would have been fine if the food significantly improved in quality - which is not the case. The servings are also not so good for the price (the nachos felt like a rip-off). Overall, it feels like Slice n' Dice lost its identity, while trying (and failing) to position itself as a classier restaurant.
CHEAPEST STEAK? Me and my friends had our lunch here. Tried their Porkloin Steak and Cheesy Garlic Mussels for my side dish. Porkloin Steak - cooked very well and tenderly. But not that flavorful. Cheesy Garlic Mussels - I love their Cheesy Garlic Mussels, full of cheese and very tasty. Staffs were not that accommodating but at least the place is clean. Food: 3/5 Location: 3/5 Ambiance: 3/5 Will recommend: Yes
I had an odd dining experience here, and I definitely have mixed feelings for this restaurant. We had the junior tbone steak w/ side, tbone steak, and chicken. When I was choosing my sides, they informed me that they only had kangkong, mussels, and steakghetti. I wanted the steakghetti, but later on they told me that it would take so long to cook so they don't want me to wait, so I should just choose between kangkong and the mussels side. I asked for the mussels, which arrived after I finished having my steak. Had I asked for the steakghetti, it mightve also arrived at the same time the mussels were served. What would be the difference? Another thing, my friend ordered the breast part for the chicken only to be informed again after our orders were taken that it would take long to cook. And then we tried to order the milo drink, it was also NOT AVAILABLE. Another thing, we ordered the ala carte steak sisig but we were served with sisig with rice. There's a pattern, as you can see. It was also very very very hot in the restaurant. I asked if we could be transferred to another table where the aircon was nearer, they just told me that it would cause hassle to do that. At that time, we had nothing on our tables yet, so I dont see how bussing would be of trouble when a group of diners just left? Good thing our server was very cheerful and well-mannered, thus I'm not giving it less than 2.0. And I'll try to look at the bright side here, because although service, airconditioning, and availability of entrees sucked big time, the food was not bad. For 175 I had a lot to eat already. So price-wise, everything's good. The steak was so-so, mashed potatoes were not good at all, they were served cold. It isn't the worst, but I do not see myself coming back.
