Cafe 129 - Maitland

The soup was delicious and the service was excellent.

I visited this cafe due to the glowing reviews on trip advisor and I can honestly say that I feel as though these positive reviews are not a true reflection of the cafe itself. The staff were rude and did not make me feel welcome at all, I felt they just stood there judging me before they could bring themselves to take my order. The coffee was by far the worst I ever tasted, I'd go as far to compare it with dirt in a cup of hot water. The quality of their food is also very poor and reflects their cheap prices. Would not recommend.

Went here because of the good reviews on trip advisor. Was not impressed at all. Very much your typical country cafe. No atmosphere, terrible coffee.

This cafe is so far the best in Maitland. The meals are all made from scratch and taste amazing, cappocinos awesome , The staff so friendly .Not only is the food and coffee wow...The price is also.a big Wow...so inexpensive its beyond belief....I make sure I visit on a weekly basis..

If you're looking for a trendy cafe, this ain't it, but the staff were attentive without being clingy, and efficient, Food is simple, but fresh, tasty, filling and reasonably priced.
