Le cedre du Liban - Mainz

Small eatery where you get your food at the counter and then sit down or take it away. There is quite a bit of choice. I thought the food was pretty average. Very eatable but nothing spectacular. The taboule salad was very nice. The place is quite popular and you may have to wait a couple minutes.

If the owner takes your order, there's a good chance that he will sing it back to you! This isn't however the main reason for going here that's the great Lebanese food. My favourites are humous and/or tabouleh and the rice with lentils or onions served with stewed vegetables and, of course, harisa and Lebanese tea. There's a tasty fish dish on Fridays and the okra is also a popular choice. Having said that, most people order the shawarma (kebab) and seem more than satisified. Expect to queue for 10 minutes it's well worth it.

We came here because of two recommendations and were not disappointed. Very authentic and very tasty lebanese food. The falafel sandwich is great as are also the other food combinations. Worth a visit.

Very delicious food at the best prices. Since I couldn't decide everything was presented to me. Very nice service and I was here more often. Enjoy fish on Thursday/Friday.

The best falafel I've ever eaten! They are always served beautifully and friendly even if a lot is going on. A real enrichment!
