Waterstone's Cafe W - Maidstone

I visited in the afternoon and it's everything you could ask for. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming. I highly recommend trying it out.

Terrible experience. Service was slow, and the food and drinks were only average. I was kept waiting while the staff behind the counter chatted with each other, ignoring customers. When one staff member finally acknowledged me, he was rude and simply said the coffee machine was broken without offering any alternatives. I was so shocked that I handed back the sandwiches I had intended to purchase with my drinks and left. Perhaps the staff member was under stress because of the broken coffee machine, but taking it out on customers is not acceptable. I doubt I, my family, or my friends will be returning to this restaurant.

Every time I go to this coffee shop, I receive exceptional customer service from the welcoming and attentive staff. They are always engaging and have a great sense of humor, which is why I continue to return. Even on busy Tuesdays, the team maintains their high level of service. The food selection is always great, but the real standout is the coffee, especially the lattes. I highly recommend this place.

It’s always been my favourite cafe in Maidstone but it is leaps and bounds above the competition. The coffee is absolutely stunning, for a true coffee lover you’d be mad to go anywhere else. Plus for me the hot chocolate is dangerous, I only intended to buy one but ended up having three! The staff are always friendly and seem to really enjoy working there which is always nice to see. The atmosphere is so amazing, even when it is packed it still feels calm and comfortable and you never feel like you are out staying your welcome unlike at Costa.
