Klazy Jax Gastro Pub - Mahopac

Really great food and nice for the kids. Looked pretty much like a bar from the outside so I sent my husband in to confirm it was suitable for brunch...and it was. While there's a clear bar section for grown ups, the restaurant side is very welcoming and the large screen tv's made for a great kid distraction. The Bellinis and mimosas were on point, as was the food. My only concern. Was the bathroom. That was a total disgusting mess and I'm glad I didn't start there. It was bad enough to have made me consider walking out. I held my daughter up while she went potty because there weren't enough Clorox wipes in the world to make me feel like the bathroom was disinfected. I told our server and I hope he relayed the message because it left a bad impression.

I stumbled upon the place on my way back to NJ. I walked in and sat at the bar. It was very clean and well kept. The bartender was friendly, hospitable and attentive. It was around 4pm so I think they may have just opened. There were 4 people sitting at the bar. There were several big screen TVs, a huge assortment of liquor. I ordered a drink, which was delicious. I had a cup of New England Clam Chowder and the empanadas. I ate one there and took the other to go. They were, BY FAR, the best empanadas I've eaten!! Honestly, I wanted to bring the whole place home with me!! I will be going back, even if I have to make a special trip...it is well worth the 100 mile drive.

Used to love this place but I feel recently gone down hill. Twice I’ve been there drinks tasted like water as if liquor and tequila has been watered down and food was cold when it came out. I’ll still obviously go there but just alittle disappointed. Getting beers from now on.

Food was excellent service was spectacular thank you corned beef and cabbage was excellent and the Guinness helped out

Love the atmosphere at Klazy. Staff is awesome! The best part of Klazy is the bar. What a terrific selection of whiskeys, bourbons and craft beers! Tonight I’m enjoying a mezcal named Se Busca…delicious!
