Bidrage med feedbackWe went during dinners time so everything was a bit busy, but the waiters were attentive and nice. Everything was cooked properly. We also ordered pork jowl and I wish that was cooked on the grill as well instead of it being brought out separately .
Gopchang story has 3 different location in NJ, NYC and Flushing NY. I’ve been to all three but this one disappointed the most. Service was okay I had to look for them every time. And they precooked the meat but didn’t tell us about the sides (leeks and scallions) to cook with oils that came out from the meat. Most disappointing part was the “FLIES”. There were so many of them it annoyed us so much. I killed them 2 or more and there were more on the wall. I don’t know if I want to go back again and give it a try.
I have visited all three locations of Gopchang Story in NJ, NYC, and Flushing NY, but this particular one was the most disappointing. The service was mediocre as I had to constantly seek out the staff. Additionally, they precooked the meat without informing us about the sides (leeks and scallions) to cook with the oils from the meat. The most disappointing aspect was the presence of numerous flies. Their presence was quite bothersome, and I had to kill multiple flies during my meal. I am unsure if I want to return to this restaurant and give it another chance.
The service at this restaurant is excellent, the food is delicious, the portions are generous, there are great side dish options, and overall, I am very satisfied.
I must mention our host Yoon, who warmly welcomed us, set up our table and grill for the skilled chef. Yoon showed exceptional customer service skills, as well as enthusiasm and joy in having us as guests. Chef Ms. Yoone was kind and attentive, inquiring about our food preferences and introducing the various stir-fried vegetables that accompanied the skirt steak. Among the many options were celery, onion, cabbage, scallions, lettuce, egg souffle, eggplant, watercress, spicy green pepper, and mashed potatoes. The skirt steak was grilled with mushrooms, asparagus, onion, and pineapple, resulting in a delicious meal that ranks among the best Korean dishes I've ever had. Kudos to Chef Yoone and the kitchen team. While the prices are on the medium to high side, the quality of the food justifies the cost. Everything served was fresh, flavorful, and well worth it. Overall, my experience at Gopchang Story was fantastic, and credit is certainly due to all involved!
