Nippon 2 - Madrid

One of the best sushi restaurants in Madrid and probably the incredible value for the money. Quality of sushi is incredible and the service is really friendly. Quite and familiar atmosphere. Totally recommended!!

Both the sushi and the udon are highly recommendable! The Japanese chef is very friendly and there to serve you himself at the bar. Just as it is in Japan! :

On a hot day we wanted a light meal so we walked into Nippon 2 which is near where we stayed. We were greeted by a nice lady who speaks very good English. She asked if we would like to take the counter or table seats. If we take the counter seats, there is a 50% discount for today's order of sushi. We decided to share a big mix plate of sushi and sashimi. We pointed to the picture and the nice lady explained to us that it is the Sushi y Sashimi Variado. We still get 50% discount on the sushi. After serving the 2 iced green tea we ordered, the waiter brought us a plate of complimentary Edamame to share. A very nice touch! Our big boat of sashimi and sushi was served quite quickly. There were 6 different sushi 2 pieces each, at least 8 different sashimi of 3 or 4 slices each! Also come with the set, a Californian roll sliced into 8 small pieces, which I did not expect much, but to my surprise, tasted superb with layers of flavour and great toasty black sesame seed I have not tasted from the other many roll I had. All the raw fish tasted very fresh and the flavour of the fish was wonderful, specially the sashimi! At the end we paid 58€ for the superb sushi sashimi boat, 2 iced green tea and 2 bottle of coke. This is definitely one of the best meal on our trip and the best in Madrid after 6 days. Very happy with either the quality of the service or the food. Highly recommended!
