Tempest Oyster Bar - Madison

We went out for my friends birthday tonight. Kevin was a great bartender, food was wonderful, drinks were delicious, everything was wonderful.Food: 5/5

We ended up here after driving around in frustration , having lost our reservations at a different establishment due to being late. Everyone was hungry, grumpy and it was a bummer cos we were celebrating my birthday weekend.We were seated at a small table in the patio outside. The gentleman and ladies who served us are outstanding. The apps, shrimp cocktail came with the most delightful sauce. We had the bucatini, pasta dish brimming with seafood, a whole snapper, fried walleye, and my son ordered a sirloin stuffed with oysters!!It was a night of many firsts, first time everyone cleaned their plates, we enjoyed a lively conversation( we are usually quiet diners) AND I HAD 5 COCKTAILS!!Abby our server is a wonderful young lady who made our night so memorable. When we come back to Madison this will be our go to place. And a special shout out to the bartender!Thank you for taking care of our family.

The food I had- shrimp cocktail, salmon, and pear upsidedown cake-was excellent. My cocktail was properly made, I.e., strong but not too strong. Service was excellent as well. I took away a star because the place was quite loud and just a bit expensive for Madison.Food: 5/5

Went here for our 40th anniversary dinner and had a very nice experience and evening. Started with the scallops which were outstanding. Our server was very attentive without being overbearing.

We had a wonderful meal here. We are not frequent eaters of oysters but thought since we were in an oyster bar, we should do oysters. And the staff was very helpful in helping us with the oyster ordering and eating process. The staff was also very friendly and knowledgeable, especially with our dietary restrictions which was much appreciated! And the food was fantastic! They had a wonderful base menu and fun rotating specials. We will definitely be back!
