Madisontap

A nice little place to hide something. MadisonTap is classic without being careful. Disclaimer: I didn't order any food here so that my assessment can be a bit biased. The bartender assured us that their vegan options were incredible. MadisonTap has many local Wisconsin beers on tap. They often seem to turn beers and keep a solid selection. MadisonTap was spacious with bar seats, tables and stands available. The design and furnishings were well thought out. The crowd seems to be young professionals in their mid-20s until the beginning of 30s. I don't remember the beers I have here, but I remember the prices being $7-10. The bartender and owner attach particular importance to being vegetarian and vegan friendly. Even one of the cocktails uses vegan butter. There was a single bartender when I visited, but it was a little slow. We had a great conversation and saw Christmas films at the projectors. Overall solid experience. 5/5.

I was already a fan of Black Locust Cafe when we made it to Madison Tap to get a free pint from our Pub Pass. Chad was one of the best servers/bartenders I've ever had. He let us take a look at the courtyard domes (a winter exclusively available upon reservation) before we decided to have dinner and card games. Madison Tap is chilly and has a respectable selection of board games, for those who do not bring their own to the bar. I couldn't eat the Brussels spits fast enough. Can't wait to go back!

This member of the Robinia Courtyard Trio was a really nice introduction to what happened. Every dish was a hit that was surprisingly better than I could imagine. Vegetarian poutins sound like a contradiction, but it was absolutely stellar. The kitchen makes an excellent job, especially when making vegetarian/gluten free/other nutrition restriction friendly dishes that are as good or better as their normal versions. Can't wait to see what they think next!

Stopped for a quick bite before a show at The Sylvee due to the vicinity. Tofu tom ka was DELICIOUS. Just the right amount of spice and great flavors. The cheese curds were more of cheese clouds. The breading so was light and fluffy with the perfect amount of crispiness. Very attentive server and nice ambiance. Ladies, check out the fun bathroom decor. Gents, my buddy reports that your restroom is not as exciting. Will be back to try more of the menu!

Awesome hidden gem! We had some awesome drinks a tap beer and a from scratch custom cocktail played games, and thoroughly enjoyed out time here! Very chill vibe. We will be back again and again!
