Lombardino's Restaurant - Madison

This is our day for night. it is consistently some of the best food they ever eat. lamb chops last night and the broccolini were so delicious! love the gorgonzola, fig and salami appetizer. If you're looking for a hip and trendy hot spot, that's not it. lombardinos is completely old school Italian decor with wall paintings, red vinyl cabins and a cozy interieur. the wood fired grill pumps the most tasteful evening meal with locally produced food. not your typical Italian! we also like the price class, from pizzas to steaks and a little of everything in between.

Last night had a fabulous meal for restaurant week with other friends. I could have insalata lombardino every night of the week; the shaved fennel and vinaiigrette takes an salat to raised. I also had the grilled portobello mushroom over creamy polnta; really the best polnta I ever had. last but not least the panna cotta, that was heavenly. really the workers were amazing, the numbers they served. lombardia I can't wait to come back again; again and again!
