Would not go here in a rush, small kitchen and a small space, food is fantastic and thoughtful. Service attentive and friendly. Atmosphere is cozy and well curated. Fantastic value.

On Friday, we enjoyed another memorable evening at D'Vino. We love taking friends and visiting family to D'Vino to enjoy the best Italian food in Madison. This time, our guests were two foodies: my step-daughter and her husband. They were enchanted.If you're looking for a special experience, D'Vino mixes the best of old-style Italian-family food and modern updates; all made with fresh, authentic ingredients.On Friday, we were quickly provided with drinks and a friendly welcome by Andre and the attentive staff.We ordered two Appetizer plates filled with cheeses, meats, olives and D'Vino's divine caponata--always a great start.Dino Maniaci, the owner/chef, embodies warm Italian hospitality; creating a truly home-like atmosphere. He circulates the room, welcoming each guest and personally describes the specials. Dino draws on his own deep roots in Italian family restaurants to recreate Italian classics as well as updated variations of the best of Italian cooking.On Friday, my step-daughter Becky ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, made with Dino's Nona's sauce. Becky was in raptures. I ordered the same dish but with GF penne. Honestly, D'Vino is the only restaurant GF pasta I've had that actually tastes like perfectly-cooked pasta.The pasta boulongese was also a huge hit. The desserts a perfect end-note: canolli; lemon sorbetto and Proseco float and blood orange sorbet.Thank you Dino and your excellent team for another wonderful evening at D'Vino!

This was probably the closest one could get to authentic Italian food short of going to Italy! Homemade sauce definitely captured the taste of an Italian cafe with the sweet cannolis serving as a sweet finish to the meal. The staff was attentive without being overbearing and the owner himself was happy to describe specials and have a random conversation with guests. Highly recommend!

We appreciate that all of the food at D'Vino's is made from quality ingredients and family recipes. The atmosphere is elegant, comfortable, and welcoming, reflecting the owner's personality.

D 'Vino is by far the best Italian food in Madison. It 's a knock-your-socks-off, special occasion or just treat yourself, favorite restaurant kind of place. You are missing out if you 've never had their sauce.
