Bidrage med feedbackThis was our 3rd visit to Bistro One and as usual, it did not disappoint. My husband I were celebrating our 20th anniversary and called ahead for reservations and to ask the chef, Nick, to please surprise us for dinner. The food, from start to finish, was outstanding, as was the service. Personally I think it's always a great touch when you get to meet and talk to the person that prepares your food. And sometimes it just so happens they are sweaty from working in a hot kitchen. We will continue to patronize Bistro One as it's our favorite restaurant in Madison.
Eight of his celebrated my birthday. The food, wine, and service was excellent. The Chef greeted us before our meal and then checked on us after we ate. We eat a lot and I can tell you that this restaurant is exceptional.
I have dined at the Bistro One for years now, and I have to say that it is by far the best restaurant I have ever been to. Nick is a wonderful chef and knows just how to satisfy the customer. Every selection is always visually appealing and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is beautiful. I recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone that stops by downtown Madison. Not anyone I know has been disappointed and I know they never will.
While on a boating vacation up the Ohio River, we stopped in the charming town of Madison, Indiana. We were very surprised to find such an upscale establishment opens on a Monday night in late September. We were greeted immediately by the owner, Nick. The service was friendly and efficient. The front dining room had a warm cafe atmosphere with white linen tables. Outdoor dining was also available in the back. We sampled the Hummus Platter and enjoyed every bit. After a wonderful fresh salad and an excellent assortment of artisan bread, my husband and I both enjoyed our entree s with a nice bottle of Pinot Noir. I had the coconut shrimp and my husband had steak Diane. We were much too full for dessert, although the choices were very tempting. We've been coming to Madison for many years to enjoy its river views and historical charm. Now that Madison has Bistro One, we will be returning more often.
This was my second time back to Bistro One. My first meal was good, this one was bad. The chef was sweaty and looked very disagreeable. Stay away from this place.
