Irish Tavern Madison Heights

Great bar and Irish food. I don't know what they do to their chicken batter but all their fried chicken dishes are amazing. Really anything fried here is top notch, especially the homemade chips. I've had most the dishes on the menu and have liked everything but the boxty, maybe they just aren't for me. As for drinks they always have specials that are cheap and regular prices aren't bad at all either. Fast and good service every time I've been.

I went here yesterday with two of my friends, I'm a busy mom and go out maybe once or twice a year for drinks. Our waitress came up to our table and she wasnt mean but she wasn't incredibly nice or friendly either. She asked if we were getting food, we told her no, and she took our drink orders. She brought our drinks and then never checked on us again for the next hour and a half, we had to flag her down for our bill. Had she been more attentive, I would have gotten several more drinks, as well as my friends. The whole time we watched her dancing and singing, not paying attention to anything. Needless to say, I definitely wont be back for my one night out a year. ??

The boxty is amazing. The fish and chips were a bit soft but they were good. The curry sauce was so yummy, but not enough on the curry fries app. If you are unsure if the American palette will like it, offer it on the side in a cup. Great Irish music, too.

My wife had fish-and-chips. The fish just fell apart in her hand. Very greasy I had their steak in mushroom Boxtie and it was dry and horrible period period I will consider this substandard bar food.
