Augie's Grill - Madison Heights

Augies chicken tenders are the best I’ve ever had and all staff members are very nice especially the servers and managers the cooks are really good at what they do and I would love to bring my family to eat here one day

This was my first time here and the food was great!! The picture I added is the fried Oreos with ice cream $9 it was A LOT but so good : my family and I got two hot pretzels also GREAT and I got the garlic chicken tender wrap. It was very flavorful and there fries are good as well! Will be returning very soon!

Great Spot! Really extensive specialty Drink Menu ?? Good well rounded Menu. All the food was great! Service was quick and super Friendly ? Great bar and grill! Has a nice patio, which is why I picked it. Was not disappointed! Also really adorable.

My review is actually a ZERO…Here’s why. I received a few coupons/advertisements for this place when I moved to the area (within the past 8 years). I’ve always been big on supporting small business vs big business. A few years ago I had some people in town for a golf outing. I decided to support Augie’s and take the party to this establishment. Within the first 20 minutes, my party of people started to say they didn’t feel welcome due to the lack of service we were Recieving. The place was not all that busy. I thought to myself, ok, I don’t feel that, but let’s go somewhere else. We left. End of story. So today, I wanted to get out and try another local spot. Thought why not Augie’s. Well, walked in at 6:25 pm. Place is dead (5 patrons). I stood waiting to be seated for 3-4 minutes. As waitresses clearly saw me standing there but, proceeded with their conversation. Finally, one comes over and says, “can I help you?” I’m like, you have a sign here that says wait to be seated. You can help me by showing me to my seat. Didn’t make too much of it though. From that point, she never showed me to a seat. She just walked in front of me saying, “you can take a seat at the bar or a table”. Wow, I could’ve done that without your assistance. As I was looking for a place to sit, more customers walked in and received a totally deferent welcome than I did. From across the room, a waitress said to them “welcome to Augie’s”. Enough for me. Left the place. I’ll gladly give my money, business and support to another local restaurant…. Augie’s ain’t for us, it seems. And I’m cool with that. Just put a sign outside to let us know though so we don’t waste each other’s time.

I walked in around 4:30 on a Wednesday with maybe 2 other parties in the place. The bartender got my drink and provided a menu, but I didn 't see her for a while. She got back after about 15 minutes and took my food order. Food took an average amount of time to arrive and was pretty good. It was a shrimp appetizer made with their signature bang bang spicy sauce. A bit on the hot side but flavorful. I would get it againThe bartender, on the other hand, not a treat. Her overall demeanor was less than warm . No small chit-chat or even a Here ya go when dropping off my drinks. She also left my completed plate and drink glass around for another server to pick up. After-work business started picking up during my stay so I can undertand her being more busy, but I don 't think it absolves her for ignoring me for long stretches as another bartender was also working by that time.I also think $5.25 for a simple mixed drink with well vodka during supposed Happy Hour is a ripoff.
