Best meatskewer I had ever had beautiful experience. and the lunchtime was extremely cheap, I paid 7 eur with drinks! definitely a good place to stop lunch. nothing nice, but good food!

If they want terrible food and bad service, then this is the place for them. First they brought garlic bread that had no garlic at all. my family member asked for cod, and they brought meat for him....They warn no one that they had no fish. the egg is badly made and looks disgusting on the plate.

Went out of our way to find this place as had such good reviews but it turned out to be the worst meal of our holiday . We both ordered the skewers . But when it came we had been given a chicken portion with...rice and chips . We decided to stay with it as the waitress didn’t speak English a and we had already waited 40 mins . The chicken was disgusting . It was cold and greasy and hardly any meat on it . The fries were also very greasy and the rice was just your boring plain boiled rice . Wasn’t cheap at €8.50. We were having lovely meals back in Funchal for a similar price .

This is an authentic restaurant which the locals use regularly and was recommended by locals. The menu varies and so sometimes there isn't a menu card on the table, instead the staff will tell you what is available. We had a number of dishes including...garlic bread, Lapas, beef and shrimps which were all brilliant. The coffee afterward was also excellent. They have a roof top eating area which offers some great views. LaCaLa is a great example of a rustic restaurant bar which the locals use. So if you want to sample the real Madeira it is a good place to go; it is not perfect but it is authentic.
