Matsuri Vaise - Lyon

Of the Japenese-style sushi conveyor belt chains this is towards the bottom of the pile. If you're used to Yo Sushi you will be quite disappointed. Went there on a weekend evening fairly early on. Was moderately busy to start with (mostly families with kids) but emptied out about 8:30pm and from then onwards it seems that they added very little to the belt. The same food that was going round when we arrived was still going round when we left. This made the hot dishes rather unpalatable. It appears that you can order dishes cooked to order but its not well explained. We had to order a miso soup three times before it arrived. A big plus however is that you can get 20-30% off if reserving via Trip Advisor/ The Fork and, unlike many restaurants, they do respect this.

We stopped here as my sister had a hankering for sushi and the food hall was closed. Everything here was good and you really serve yourself so it was a quick and easy meal.

Firstly the restaurant has great ambience and even though you see the road the building is set back away from the street. The food generally is good but the sashimi stood out for me fresh and tasty. The sake and Japanese beer on offer were good as well

We have eaten here several times and were never disappointed. The fish is always fresh, the rest follows. The menu has been the same since long and one tires of this food after a while. They have take out and also delivery. This is a chain restaurant, there are several in Lyon.
