Café-Épicerie - Lyon

What a wonderful meal and experience! the setting first, splendid under a dome, a magical light game at nightfall. the service was perfect, very pleasant staff with good advice especially for wines and cheeses. food is delicious, exactly the kind of cuisine we love, generous, modernized classics, incredible flavors. We will return to the lodges with a great pleasure.

Serene spot in a busy area- menu driven engine like most- slow in service- fine waiting though- the salmon in the jar and the overdescribed and overcelebrated pork- still not being taken aback by the mannerisms and how they wish to promote in toto the restaurant fulfilled itself and stood with originality. The Sancerre was acceptable, the deserts were too and the people around appeared happy and they knew what they were after. Should you look into the indoors theatrical play...! that is very interesting indeed and more so the Cour des Loges Hotel.

Having a small experience of the gastro cuisine this is quite remarkable! Simple but bold kitchen (bravo for the unforgettable parmentier), the taste is everywhere, without fault of the entrance to the dessert.( very small flat on the soft mouths)The intimate and very original service impeccable.Thank you for this moment

We had a dinner at the Cafe Epicerie on a July evening as a family of five, with three children of different ages. It was recommended by the concierge at our hotel, Villa Florentine, as a good bistrot open on Sunday night. I understand that the hotel where it is located has a one-star Michelin restaurant, but if you happen to prefer some more casual dining on a certain evening, that is a good alternative.Of course Lyon is full of good restaurants and even on the same street you can find many more. But we were not disappointed - the food was very good, the portions very generous, service friendly and mostly efficient, although I had to remind about an ordered bottle of water and waited for a check for too long (but probably that is typical for a French bistrot...).Definitely recommend this bistrot.

Meals very good, but for a starry a little below other restaurants without star.The quantities are at the limit of the ridiculous....We push to consumption with the champagne wagon when you arrive and we do not serve as a very good .bref but can do better.
