Bidrage med feedbackMeet friend for lunch at Northwood Casino. The staff were very efficient and friendly. I had a rib steak with a loaded baked potatoe. The steak was done just how I requested it and the pototoe was delious. No room for dessert but I really wanted some as they looked so good. Slot machines were fun but no big win. Certainly recommend for fun and eating.
My husband and I met up with friends at a car show at the casino a couple weeks back . We normally enjoy lunch and gambling at a different casino but we were pleasantly surprised how less Smokey and clean this smaller casino was . We did , as we always do left a small donation into the machines lol but would absolutely consider going again when friends call.
A group of us went to the Friday night seafood buffet. I went because I heard they had fresh Dungeness crab on the buffet among other seafood items and prime rib all for $19.95. Well, if you live dungebess crab as I do, you can get your fill of that, which I did! I was also able to get the end piece of a newly brought out prime rib. It was very good with horseradish and Au Ju, great. Their clam chowder is very good as are their butterflied crunchy fried shrimp. I literally only had those things. I chose not to have the salads, potatoes, rice or even the grilled King salmon they had that night. They have some varying seafood items but the crab and prime rib are constant. Other folks commented they liked the deserts, etc. It isn’t the best buffet I’ve had in terms of all the other things being very good. But for the price and if you love crab and prime rib, you can get more than your money’s worth in just those two. It was too cold in the restaurant when we were there. Service was good for the free non alcohol drinks and the clearing of used plates. I will be back soon for more fresh crab while it is in season. Later they have to use frozen crab, which you get a lot of places when it is not in season. I’ve had it there before and while it isn’t too bad, it’s not fresh as it is now. If you’re looking for everything else on the buffet to be great quality, I’d hesitate going there. Much of the other buffet items are ok but just ok. I’m going back for the great deal in prime rib and CRAB, and those items that I know to be good that I mentioned.
The machines are tight here but the buffet is just terrible. We were there last night for the free buffet. Our drinks took forever they were short staffed. The rice dish was cold the fish was like rubber. The ice cream machine was still broken. They did not refill the soup pot so I did not get any. They are so dis organized it is not funny. I can see them shutting down in the near future. I will not go back. I have been going there on and off for 5 years thinking it will get better. Not happening. Good luck.
Staff issues is what we are told by employees about long waits for orders in the restaurant....and cold food as well! We enjoy the casino floor...nothing great as it relates to loose slots...but it is a comfortable, casual place to play! They tout their cheap burgers and hot dogs sold behind the bar...but after several attempts to get eatable items...we gave up...burgers soggy bun and dry meat...bartender told us to look at the burger before we leave the bar... because she said mold was found earlier on the buns! Ugh! Only food promotion worth having is the Seafood buffet....the Thursday $4.99 buffet is a great price...but most of the food is tasteless. ...again staff issues impact what could be a real contender here... hopefully some day they will get it together!
