The Ship Inn - Lymington

Excellent food but in all honesty the portions were quite large. Not a criticism but the portions could be reduced prices reduced as a consequence. Overall though 5*

Nothing special to recommend this visit on this occasion. Fishcakes were lukewarm and pasta could have been stirred through before serving. Seemed to sit under heat lamp a while before serving. Overall fair meal but not overly impressed.

Excellent choice and quality of food. Great service and location

A good choice for a Saturday lunch for 4, in a pleasant atmosphere. Clean modern and light environment. Excellent, attentive and friendly staff, delicious and creative food (with a broad enough choice to make choosing difficult), with a good wine list, at a price to be expected: not cheap but not a rip off. We ate inside (it was raining) but there is outdoor, waterfront seating available. Definitely somewhere to return to.

The food the setting was fab as usual my Friends I love The Ship , but the service on this occasion was very very poor I wasn't going to complain but i think the young bar assistant Richard could sense we were not that happy he was very polite curtious did his best to put things right which is more than I can say for the manager he had a couldn't care less attitude just walked away with no apology or anything. So not the best evening out with friends I've ever had let's hope things are better on our next visit .
