Bidrage med feedbackYou will love this place to eat. please order only the national court called käsefondue! they will never forget it because it is a special dream of eating. best to be in a group of friends.
It was a rainy Wednesday night that my friend and I made the terrible mistake to eat on this place. Lucerne companies tend to close early on Wednesday and we were afraid that we will be left to eat without an option. we were tempted. by the favourable (by Swiss standards) prices. I had the Swiss bbq röstli, which consisted of a hotdog, sad pieces grilled, tasteless huh, some icebergsalat, with much too much dressing, and the röstli itself, which were in the grunde soggy hash browns. my friend got the cheese fondue that came so hot that the cheese, which was little of him, burned to a crisp and stuck to the walls on the pot. she got a little broth to go with him, but the cheese was all gone by the way. no exaggeration. the best part was the two bottle beer that were exactly what they should have been cold and crisp. as victorious for me, I must drink the half of my friend because she was disgusted by her dirty, unwashed glass. all this costs us sfr. let this fall for a minute. we have paid for a meal that could make a suspended college breakfast, with the same quality ingredients and skill, except we paid what we should have for it. I never felt so despised, cheated and used to live in a restaurant in all my life.
We were told by another traveling person that they have to taste in the black raclette cheese. while I was on my way with my mother, I found swiss stuebli in the guide of our hotel room. bonus about this little gem was that the Lion...Monument was right around the corner so it was perfect after the lion monument seen to sit down and relax from sightseeing. we ordered the Raclette cheese and thought it was delicious. mild white/yellow cheese, served with warm potato, beading, picle discs and paprika. the experience of the Raclette cheese is that it is served under a heating and how the cheese surface warms, scratches the warm, melted cheese and enjoy it with the kartoffels and such. I also enjoyed it with a dark beer! the restaurant is small and it was at the evening we were and even if there was only one server that looked after all the tables, he was coughing and busy to make sure everyone was taken care of! our raclette experience was fun and tasty we enjoyed it in any case!
By reading all reviews it looks like there are two teams running this restaurant. The place is cosy and picturesque, the fondue was good even if a bit small compared to other places. The place is in the centre of the city and enjoys an...excellent position. It has definitely room for improvement and it could be great. The staff we met didn't look very happy to be there so we didn't stay for dessert and moved on. Maybe it was one of those days that happen from time to time in a customer related enviroment.
Das Essen ist so Mittelfeld. Das Service und die Personal sind wirklich das letzte. Ich / wir kommen sicher nicht mehr. Danke!! In Sachen Freundlichkeit müssen sie noch viel lernen.
