I've been to Adam's Brasserie a few times, and always had a good experience. Whilst my experience was still pleasant on this occasion, a couple of things marred it very slightly. The first of which was being placed at a table where there was a considerable draught coming through the window, even though it was shut. To be fair, the head waiter explained there wasn't much that could be done re the window it's a listed building but offered to move us to another table. We didn't take up his offer immediately as we thought the draught would ease off. However, it didn't, so we did ask to be moved just before we started our main course, which the staff agreed to do. The only other thing which slightly spoilt our experience was that some of our vegetables were undercooked to be point of being rock solid. We didn't mention this to the staff when they enquired of us if everything was all right, but decided that, on our next Christmas visit, we would try something different on the menu other than the traditional Christmas lunch we normally opt for. On the plus side, the ambiance was great; my carrot and fennel soup was delectable, as was my dessert and apart from the minor complaints stated above, we enjoyed our visit to Adam's Brasserie
My friend and I have celebrated each other's birthdays with a lunch, in Adam's Brasserie, at Luton Hoo, for the last years or more. Needless to say, we would not keep returning were the food not up to standard. The staff are friendly and efficient, happy to go above and beyond for any requests you may have. We ask for a special birthday plate and they come with Happy Birthday in chocolate with decorations of fruit and edible sauce patterns and a candle, to make a wish and blow out!I had carpaccio of beef and it was delicious. My friend had the soup and I always notice that the better the food, the greater the lack of conversation. For our main course, I had steak. Apparently, it is meant to be a little tough. I did ask! I won't have it again. However, my friend had the gnocchi, and was remarkably quiet as she cleaned her plate. I may well try that next time, if it's available.Dessert was a strawberry and sherry trifle. Needless to say, not a word was spoken until every last bit had been consumed. Throughout the meal, our waitress kept checking that everything was satisfactory and if we needed anything.I often judge a restaurant by the state of the ladies room. Adam's Brasserie ladies room is spotless with hand wash and hand cream provided. There is a large basket full of individual towels with which to dry your hands and the room smells amazing. The only improvement I would suggest would be checking the wallpaper. An exceptional meal enjoyed in exceptional surroundings, served by friendly, exceptional staff. We'll see you again in January, for my birthday
First time here and definitely will return. Food was perfect and staff very professional and friendly. The all place is great also for a nice walk after dining. Amazing garden
The restaurant was quiet as the lunch service was winding down. The food was a set menu which looked limited at first glance but it was incredible, delicious soup, tasty steak with garlic sauce and wonderful chocolate delice for pudding. The wine was warm and I should have asked it to be replaced with a chilled glass but that is slight niggle. Will definitely recommend
