Legit north carolina barbecue the way grandma pauline it meant to be! try sherries special sauce, they buy a quarter of it to go! they have limonade, tee and unsweet tee because they know that tee got in it by default!

I've been back to lumberton for years. everywhere where the bbq served, was closed and someone reminded us of pauline’s. I remembered that. good eastern bbq. along with good calabash style seafood, good eastern bbq has eluted me since the move to the west of our great staates. big grill and sides. Sweet potatoes were also very good. friendly service. don't expect a lust, but you can't eat any more. good eating friendly service.

Place was clean and eating was pretty good. had a bit of whom first tried to find out what meat comes on the bbq plate. unlike that a pretty good experience. server ladies could be a bit more beautiful tho. I'd go back.

Great food at great prices. Best BBQ in town. If you haven't, you gotta try the What-a-burger, and if you can even find any anywhere else, you'll find no better fried gizzards. Always been family run and owned. There's a reason it has been here forever.
