ONE GUY FROM ITALY PIZZA - Lubbock

Driving through, this was highly recommended with a 4.7 star rating, and I do not understand. We paid $3.50 for a slice of burnt and dry cheese pizza.

I've been coming to the one guy since I went to school here starting in 91. Every year I stop in to grab a few calzones to take back to San Antonio. Unfortunately the quality of the food has just been terrible the last few years. The calzone and pizzasare doughy on the bottom versus dry and crisp, the sausage doesn't have the same flavor or consistency anymore. Not enoughcheese in the calzone and it looks like a hot pocket. Pizza is doughy and is not what it used to be. It's a shame

One guy pizza is a staple for us here in Lubbock. In undergrad I would buy the large Nona pizza here (I have no idea why people don?t order it more often), and would have family members begging me to drive them a box 5 1/2 hours away. Definitely a greatpizza spot.

I had the loaded meat lovers and it was excellent. the crust was on the tidy side as I like it and meat really was loaded

Tony and a kerl are the best. they just have our wedding memory tag washing and ever used to, the pizza was bomb and setup was nice. the prices for pizza and salat were more than reasonable. tony was on the ball and easy to reach throughout the entire planning. he was very thorough and was able to change some of the menu to make gluten-free pizzas for my braut that is newly diagnosed with celiac. he came to us in the night to say hi, check them in and make sure we were satisfied. even more amazing, the handwritten notiz and several one guy credits in a letter to us with good wishes and congratulations that we received after our high time. the pizza was amazing as always, but what made us smile extra big was tony and his crew and how phenomenal they are in customer service. they made our day so special - who doesn't love pizza, especially at a high time?!
