Bidrage med feedbackLocally owned by a Father-Daughter duo, Home Run Burgers is casual food done right. You may hear yourself being welcomed by a Batter up! as you walk in the door. Not only do they have burgers with 26 free toppings, they offer hot dogs, chicken, salads, fried fish and even oysters occasionally. I always get the veggie burger (it 's veggie, not vegan) on a rye bun, but my toppings vary on my particular mood. The fries are also very tasty. Two versions are offered: regular or Cajun seasoned. Never greasy and always hot, when you get a craving for fries, it 's a can 't miss side. The only thing I 've tried on the menu that wasn 't 100% was the chocolate shake. It 's possible the one visit I got it was a fluke, but it would keep me from ordering again. All in all, it 's reasonably priced, locally owned, and consistently tasty. They sometimes offer Groupons, and frequently offer Spot On deals, so make sure you 're a member (the scanner seems to live behind a register but you can ask to use it). Currently, on Tuesday nights, there is a 1/2 price special, so go give it a try if you haven 't yet. I bet you 'll be a Home Run fan, too.
I tried this place for the first time and I can see myself falling in love. I loved the free Add-ons and customizable burger thing they do here along with some preconceived burger variants in case you can't come up with your own flavor combinations. The service was cool and I really enjoyed the service by the young man who brought us our food. He was very pleasant and likable and really made us feel appreciated for our visit. The food was great! The buns they use are tasty first of all and are good old fashioned Americana bread tasting buns. This is as opposed to this trend towards Kaiser rolls and fancy schmancy buns you may come across at the $15 burger joints that pop up from time to time. They're okay, but I have a lotta love for old school flavors too. The beef they use is very tasty and I was on high alert since they display quite prominently and proudly that they serve black Angus beef patties on the wall. It definitely delivered! I don't know what a black Angus cow is supposed to taste like but if they taste like a Home Run classic burger, then I love it. It was a tasty patty and I could eat it again and again. So I did a customized classic double cheeseburger combo with grilled onions, sautéed mushrooms, and an egg. This came with a drink and Cajun fries and I felt like I stole home base because it cost about ten dollars for a great meal that left a full belly! This place was pretty awesome and I'm looking forward to going back. One note to management: please get some tongs for the sliced lemons that are left out for the beverages. The thought of so many fingers dipping into the lemons bucket after handling so many finger foods is terrifying to me.
Home Run Burgers and Fries is a fast casual burger establishment in the same vein as Five Guys or Smashburger. However, unlike those chains it is locally owned and operated. As a result the service is really exceptional. The menu is pretty typical of a made to order burger place, including a variety of burgers and toppings that you can put the burger, they also have fries, salads, onion rings, hotdogs and milkshakes. They do have a twist on the regular fries, cajun fries which are fries with a spicy rub. If you don't mind a little heat (and it is really just a little heat) then I would recommend these fries over the regular ones. The decor is sports (baseball themed) and when you go in the employees yell batter up, but this is only a minor annoyance (probably more so for the employees than the customers). If you are looking for a quick bite to eat, I'd definitely recommend Home Run Burgers and Fries. Not only do you get a quality burger, but you are also supporting a local small business.
The burgers here are pretty good we could use more seasoning on the meat. My burger was a bit undercooked. These burgers are very similar to Five Guys burgers, but there's more variety of toppings and cheeses available here. Great service and friendly staff.
A local Louisville chain that is much like 5 Guys, however, they add extras to their menu. You have more options for toppings and other sides. The kids and I were travelling through and wanted burgers and shakes. Home Run Burgers came up on Yelp and it fit the bill. We were there during an off time as so had plenty of time to order. The staff was patient and answered our questions. Once we ordered they started preparing our meals. The side salad came with onion noodles which were made fresh. Overall, a good burger joint.
