Bidrage med feedbackIt was our last night on the island so we thought we’d treat ourselves to a lobster dinner... we were NOT disappointed! The presentation was as good as the lobster itself: cooked to perfection and oh so tasty. We finished up with their blueberry pie which was also outstanding. The service was top notch too! This place gets busy at dinner so expect a short wait, but the harbour is right there so you can explore for a little bit and they will text you when your table is ready. A great experience! Loved it.
Great meal, prompt and efficient service. Very busy place! Cool evening with seating in a semi enclosed patio. Heaters provided along with offers of throws for legs and shoulders. Scallops were small but delicious. Would recommend the small red potatoes with tomato and zucchini side. Caesar salad seemed to have jar dressing on it with a few add ins. The only thing negative was the table. Worst seat in the house being crowded by people waiting for tables close to door.
Best mussels in PEI. I had the lobster roll which was packed with delicious lobster meat. My wife had the haddock and loved it. A nice and scenic view and very good customer service
YES!<br/ <br/ After a streak of disappointing seafood spots in my most recent trip to the east coast, BMC restored my faith. <br/ <br/ From their friendly waiting staff, to their handcrafted picnic-style tables... everything about the decor and ambiance of this restaurant was adorable. <br/ <br/ My boyfriend and I ordered the oysters, the crab cakes, and their lobster to share. I also tasted the chowder that another member of our party ordered. <br/ <br/ Let me start with their home-cooked chowder. It was amazing. Not too salty. Just the right amount of sweetness. My memory is foggy, but it may have been been better than the famous San Fransisco chowder. But don 't quote me on that. <br/ <br/ The oysters were delicious. So fresh and sweet. Their homemade vodka sauce for the oyster was phenomenal and added the perfect amount of tartness to the oysters. Only complaint there was that they were poorly shucked. The oysters were sometimes still attached and their were pieces of the shell in every bite. <br/ <br/ The lobster was also phenomenal. I don 't know if it 's the way they cooked it or just the quality of the lobster itself. It was savoury and tasted like it was boiled in butter (without the grease). It was THAT good. <br/ <br/ The crab cakes were okay. I wish they had more texture and that they came with some kind of sauce. The portion size was big and it felt like too much of the 'same taste ' without a sauce. However, their how made chow (sweet pickled pickles) was amazing with the crab cakes. I wish they sold it individually so I could take it home to Toronto which is strange cause I don 't even really like pickles like that. <br/ <br/ I also tried and loved their local Blueberry Ale. <br/ <br/ The service and overall experience at BMC was great and restored my faith in east coast dining this weekend.<br/ <br/ I definitely would recommend anyone visiting PEI to make a stop at Blue Mussel. It 's is definitely worth it!
Food: must try the LOBSTER ROLL! Best in the east coast.Service: friendly service, seaside viewValue: good value! We visited Blue Mussel Cafe in Rustico after our visit to the Green Gables in PEI. It was a lovely sunny day with a cool sea breeze as we made our way to the Blue Mussels. The restaurant exterior is a simple looking structure, right by the coast, and you knew it was popular due to the number of cars parked outside...
