Celia's Garden Café - Los Osos

Ok so, Celia’s Garden Cafe truly deserves Five Stars for the food and environment, and is still on my list of favorites.But the service always seems to fall a little short here. The wait staff often forgets what you’ve ordered and will “ghost” your table after they drop your food off. This can be a hassle, especially if they bring you the wrong dish. I’ve even had to find us some silverware before our food got cold.Even with this, they could have been worthy of Four Stars, considering how friendly they all are.HOWEVER…..On Sunday, 5/19/2024, after having breakfast here, my sister and I went to a local bar to see a band play. And one of the staff from Celia’s Garden Cafe showed up, still dressed in their work clothes, was drunk and began to harass my sister, speaking lewdly, and refused to leave us along when politely asked. The bar owner had to ask this person to leave. I was very disappointed because this person is always very friendly and helpful at the cafe, and very amiable. It really was a Dr. Jekyll scenario and we are pretty shocked. I know people are going to live their lives outside of work, but it’s probably best not to get too crazy when you’re wearing your work clothes and maybe try to remember the value of your customers when you see them around. This person’s behavior was unacceptable, drunk or not, and owes my sister a huge apology. But we’re not going to let that bad experience keep us from enjoying one of our favorite breakfast places, albeit might dictate the frequency of eating here for a little while.

This place rocks..Great food. And very pretty on back deck.

Really wanted to like this place but I had a sad dining xperience. Took forever to order and get my food chile relleno with eggs. Asked for poached eggs they came fully cooked (close to hard boiled . Chile relleno wasn’t hot cheese not melted; overly breaded ; boring sauce . The wheat toast was the best part of the meal !! service staff were friendly. But they are too stretched thin and can’t attend to taking your order when you are ready, and can’t offer typical service, like checking in after you get your food to make it right like my ‘Dead Sea ‘ “poached “ eggs. #sad

Food was not very good, just basic eggs and potatoes. Few vegetables and mediocre coffee. Not worth the $25 bucks a person price.

Good food. Service is adequate, bus was by several times with coffee, but server was absent after bringing our food until bill time. This is a cozy cafe with outdoor seating when weather permits. Parking: We were there before the lunch crowd. There were plenty of spaces and open spots as we were leaving.
