Quail Wine Bistro - Los Banos

A cozy atmosphere with wonderful people, a creative menu, and impressive taste in wine. Do not, I repeat, do NOT skip on the Salmon Chowder.

Ordered 2 house salads 2 appetizers. The food was great. The proportions were a little on the small side. Enjoyed a beer and nice conversation with a man who was likely the owner. Again, more greens wouldn't be too much trouble for them and would have gone a long way for me.

They offer a fantastic range of delicious food. I loved dining here. The employees are always very nice, pricing is reasonable and the spot is always clean.

Not sure what 's happening with this little tucked away gem. My first visits were refreshing. The salmon bisque was to die for. The specials seem to really never change or evoke any specialty. I had the emulsified vegetable soup and chicken with polenta special last visit. Definitely not a fan! The chef is heavy handed on an herb or seasoning that made the soup taste musky and dirty. The same was used in the polenta that actually turned, what should have been a rich golden color, into a dirty beige riddled with dark flecks. This once favorite oasis is sadly falling off my radar.
