La Fuente - Los Angeles

I was kind of bummed out by the food. It was good but I definitely had better. I don't know if it's because this location is in HP and they're catering to the neighborhood. It didn't taste as authentic as I hoped. I got the Mexican combination plate and I was so excited for the Chile relleno. It was okay, good, but the Chile wasn't fluffy nor was it very tasty. The enchilada left the chicken dry and there was a limited amount of red sauce. I felt that the rice was good but the beans were very salty by itself. We also ordered the guacamole but were also very disappointed. It was basically mashed avocados into a smooth, thick consistency. We had to add salt and lime to it but it was just too smooth. I like my guacamole chunky. Street parking only. Cash only. Meh food, good service.

I've changed my review because I've gone back several times and it's not that good anymore. I ordered steak Picasso and it the meat was hard. Rice was hard and beans were ok. What's going on here?

We really enjoy coming here. Food is authentic and service is always great here. They have vegetarian options. I ask for bean enchiladas and the chef never lets me down. I appreciate that! Thank you

Very Tasty Asty!! Great customer service! I had ordered tacos dorados de pollo but they brought me tacos de carne macha, they gave me the wrong tacos at no extra charge (which my bf ate) and brought me my pollo ones! Menudo was also very good! I would definitely be back!

To the owners of La Fuente, I want to wholeheartedly apologize for me and my friends keeping you there one hour past closing. I want to apologize more for being totally oblivious to the fact that you were patiently waiting for us to leave. You are too sweet for trying not to be rude to us by throwing us out. Although you should have because we deserve it. I just can't decide what was the reason we didn't want to leave. It must have been your warm service with bottomless chips, salsa, guacamole and sour cream. Or it must have been the cozy feel of your restaurant. Perhaps, it must have been your delicious food. Honestly, I really can't decide on our excuse. Your rice is amazing! Probably the best I've had at a restaurant. Your chile verde was so tender and flavorful. I promise the next time I'm there, I'll go early and leave before closing time.
