Bidrage med feedbackDelicious Hiroshima style okonomiyaki which are also known as Japanese savory pancakes. The Classic okonomiyaki are a tower of okonomiyaki sauce, noodles, cabbage, pork and egg simply delicious, but even though it looks big it’s not necessarily filling. The place gets packed. They share space with a takoyaki restaurant called Tanota. The takoyaki are delicious. Service is pretty good. Meter parking or parking in nearby structures.
There isn't really a okonomiyaki spot in the NYC-area so coming to this place was definitely a treat. Big fan of their hiroshima okonomiyaki and would definitely recommend.Swung by here on a Thursday for lunch I believe for walk in and there were plenty of seats. Service wasn't too slow either. This was my boyfriend's first time eating okonomiyaki and he loved it!
The okonomiyaki was great, it is balanced food and it’s good to not only eat ramen and sushi’s ?Takoyaki as an appetizer is also very good.
Okay dining option in the Japanese village plaza. You can go up to the kiosk to check in/add yourself to the wait list or place an order. Took about 25 minutes for a table of 4 during a weekend afternoon. Seems busy and always has a wait. Has indoor and outdoor dining but no AC. The takoyaki was soggy and their signature chinchikurinyaki was good but barely had any meat. It was just lots of cheap ingredients piled together with sauce slapped on top. Food took a while to come out. Staff was nice but inattentive, never came back to fill our waters and I had to go inside to get the check. Prices were standard, just glad we didn’t pay more for what we got. Might try something else if I wind up here again but overall wasn’t impressed.
Takoyaki was good. It’s not the type that’s crispy on the outside. Okonomiyaki was huge, so depending on how hungry you are, you could share this between 3 people. I think it would’ve been too big for 1 person, 2 people for a meal would’ve been good. Service was very slow.
