Bidrage med feedbackThe food served in this restaurant was good quality, with good variety on the menu and wine to match. The only downside was that there was only one waitress, perhaps because it was winter, but the restaurant was very busy and the service was not as quick as it could be. That being said the quality of the food justified the wait.
We stayed 2 nights in Lorne recently, and went for a stroll along the main street. We found Nino, and made a booking for that night. The staff are so friendly and helpful, it was a delight to be there. I had the Linguini Marinara, and my wife had the mussels. Both dishes were delicious. A special thanks to Sophie, who helped us enjoy the meal. The wine list was also good, and we chose a great red shiraz. In all it was a lovely night, and we will go there next time we visit Lorne, along the Great Ocean Road in Victoria.
My family arrived at around 6:30pm on Thursday night looking for a place for a family dinner. Have a look from Nino's windows, no one was there. Basic instant kicked in thought it must be very expensive and may not have good taste food because the interior decoration look very elegant.Walked about and found another a burger place with quite a lot of customers. After discussion, we went back to Nino since we have had too many grill and deep fry food in the past few days. This was the last dinner before drove back home. When we walked in the waitress served in a very nice manner. She also spent time to talked through the menu too. Pasta dishes were very tasty. I ordered a risotto, the taste was nice but would like more creaminess (just for my own taste bud).A free tiramisu for my son's birthday. That was a surprise from the restaurant. Thank you!Happy to see another family walked in just before we pay the bill. Costs were in medium range but worth to dine in.
In the main street so it is easy to find. Very helpful and pleasant staff. Great food, great wine. All good value!
At last a restaurant in Lorne that doesn't leave you feeling disappointed in one way or other. This has all three of the essentials I look for when dining out. Great food, good service, yet unobtrusive, and a lovely ambience. I'm surprised this isn't the number one on ratings but it can't be long till it is. We felt welcome from the moment we walked in and you get a sense the owner understands how a good restaurant should be run. It isn't pretentious, the menu is fairly simple and all the better for it. The food is well made and portions don't leave you wondering where your money went. The wine list is extensive. All in all an excellent and classy alternative to the usual lack lustre competiton in town.
