Mexican Republic - LORNE

The restaurant was average, typical Mexican fare. It was small in size, but the food was served quickly and the drinks were enjoyable. The restaurant is located on a side street near the cinema, and there are outdoor seating options under a covered area. The staff was friendly and efficient. Thanks to the team for the good service.

The restaurant has a welcoming staff and delicious food. The walls are adorned with numerous Mexican paintings and unique trinkets, creating an immersive dining experience that transports you to Mexico. The staff is friendly, attentive, and hospitable. We left the restaurant feeling satisfied and pleasantly full.

We have a love for delicious Mexican cuisine and have consistently been let down in Australia. But that all changed when we visited Mexican Republic in Lorne. The food was amazing, on par with anywhere in the world. We highly recommend dining here.

So, arrived in Lorne and thought we'd go out for a nice dinner. Found a Mexican restaurant in town. Went in and a waitress said sit wherever we like. Another couple walked in after us and she went straight up to them and explained the menu. We sat there for a few minutes and then had to ask for a menu. We ordered a couple of burritos. They arrived under five minutes on the smallest plates possible. They were large wraps that were cold. We sent them back and asked to have them heated up and on larger plates so we could use a knife and fork. They came back still cold. We paid for them but said we were disappointed with cold food and they charged us extra for the guacamole that was hard to find in the wrap but they left out the jalapenos that were supposed to be in the burritos. So disappointed!

We didn’t eat , but ordered sangria ….. they need a quick visit to spain to learn how to make it ! They cleaned up around us which was a little unnecessary at 9.20 pm
