Bidrage med feedbackWe live locally and have been here many times, usually with our family and friends. It has recently changed hands and the new owners are continuing with a very good standard of fresh well cooked meals The menu is a little disappointing in its range of choice but not in its quality. The service was friendly and welcoming but it is clear they are still learning their trade. The interior is rather dark but the terrace is pleasant sitting under the branches of the two mulberry trees which give the restaurant its name.
Hidden behind the last market stands down the avenue de Toulon in Lorgues my wife were searching for a pizza, and found this nice and unpretending restaurant. Nice welcome, speedy service and attention, we found the pizzas to be excellent, tasty and quickly served. A very nice restaurant interior for colder days and also the patio under the platane trees will be a gem on a summers day. A very comforting discovery this to be recommended as they also serve more than pizza. We will try this again on another occasion.
Take away pizza seemed like the order of the day following a lovely family day at the beach. ‘I’ll call ahead’ I thought, they’ll be piping hot and the hungry, tired kids can devour them immediately when we get home. It was a good plan. I called and received the sort of welcome and helpful good cheer that one might expect from jailer who had been up all night and had forgotten both has flask of coffee and his sandwiches. We nevertheless pressed on, and the relatively simple order of 5 margaritas, two pizza la reine and a vegetarian was ultimately, begrudgingly taken. They would be ready in 30 mins apparently. Now I’ve been around the take away pizza block a few hundred times, but what ensued was a masterclass in incompetence. If it hadn’t involved pizza, it would have been funny. But pizza is a serious business, as we know. As we arrived we walked past the poor souls who were eating at Les II Muriers properly, it became very clear that this was a place of hunger and sadness. Frankly, having been in the joint for 10 seconds, we knew we were in trouble. The other patrons whose own pizza dreams had been cruelly crushed by Les II Muriers generously emplored us to try somewhere, anywhere, else. But we had already ordered. Gulp. As we approached the counter we were told it would take another hour and a half for our 8 pizzas, that had been ordered some 30 mins before. This was fairly but firmly countered and we were then told it would just be 10 minutes! Wonderful!... But after a further half an hour they bought out only half the pizzas. They then put these back to get further mullered and after another 30 minutes we finally got the full compliment. Plus another pizza we hadn’t ordered. We took it as we couldn’t face another discussion with the hapless, hiding staff. No apologies. No charm. Pay up and foxtrot oscar was very much the watchword for those at Les II Muriers. Don’t go there. It’s the pits. And the pizzas, in the end, a 5 out of 10 (max).
A good restaurant with a lovely terrace and great pizza. Not too expensive and delicious. The waiter was very kind with us. Dogs are accepted. The ice cream are artesanal are hand-made (from Frejus)
We so munch enjoyed this place and espcially the pizzas. Being a group of friends of 6we "by accident "come over this place, which turned out to be a great experience and in total we visited it three times during one week. The first evening we could not sit outside at the nice terrace due to weather, but the other two times we enjoyed the terrace. The pizzas are some of the bests we ever tasted, and personally I liked the vegetarian and the pharma pizza. They also offer take away which mean it can be a bit busy around 20.00 p.m. The service can be a bit busy, but he was nice and professional. We all really falled in love with this place and the pizza :
