Backhaus Friedel Laquai Gmbh - Lorch

We did wine tasting here. The young woman was so sweet that we came back for dinner that evening. Oh my god--did we make the right choice. The food, service, and ambiance was just exceptional. Prices were very reasonable. Although this is in part related to the current strong dollar against the Euro (May 2017).

This small restaurant on the main street in Lorch on the Rhine is owned by the same folks that make the wine of the same name. We were recommended it by the I'm schoolhaus where we stayed and were not disappointed. First of all the wines from the vineyard are served at dinner and they are very reasonable ( 10 euro per bottle). We had a blend of cab, merlot and pinot noir which was smooth, tasty and with a great finish. The beet carpaccio salad was something to die for ( yes beets!). Try the pest pasta and wild boar sausage. The bill for two people was about 65 Euros incl a bottle of red we took with his. Service was friendly and English spoken well. Buon apetito!

Jolie patisserie avec une terasse ombragée l'après midi pour prendre un café ,une patisserie ou simplement une boisson .accueil sympa !

Die belegten Brötchen waren echt knackig und die Streuseltaler riesig. Leider gab es keine frische Konditorenschlagsahne - sonst hätten wir den gedeckten Apfelkuchen probiert...
