Bidrage med feedbackMy wife had this place on her radar after wr arrived in Lorain. This place is capital A Awesome! My wife ordered a panini and I had the breakfast plate. Both meals were very good. We will make it a point to come here when we are in Lorain!
The table I first sat at was very wobbly almost spilled the drinks. Messed up on our drink order and food. Had hair in my food and my moms. didn’t have anything on menu. Dirt in the bottom of our water cups. Egg on my tator tots was so runny and Slimy. Overall not satisfied.
$30.00 for two sips of coffee, we left. Our server was still in pajamas shuffling around not awake when we arrived, we did come right when they opened, nothing was ready as in coffee station ...you'd think employees set this up before open time? Idk... paid 1st (kinda odd) before getting food/service, no receipt after asking for one a few times. We waited and was more than patient understanding they had just opened, more ppl spilled in as we waited, we notice our server with a change of clothes now...still shuffling around not awake, we watched a table that came in after us get fully served, we waited some more, one small plate of eggs was shuffled out and set at the table, no utensils...we waited some more for the rest of order to come out, by that time a fly landed on the eggs that were cold...no toast or bacon in sight to eat with it, pancakes come out... banana rum somethings they looked amazing except the big human hair right in plain view on the plate... idk how my server missed that... oh wait... ? no bacon or tots came out either, you get your food in shifts there not all together at once, always waiting for something to arrive. Crumbs from night before left on floors/tables. something else I picked up on... the plates and cups seem to have white fuzzy hairs on them, I'm guessing from a dish towel possibly...cute atmosphere, ppl are nice, food looks great, I don't think I'll be back though... if they can leave food peices on tables and floors over night in the dinning area for us to see, I'd hate to see what the kitchen looks like in back. Place was fully staffed both times I'd been there, no reason for nobody cleaning up at the end of each day or before open time.
4.25 stars. A few tweaks and it’s a 5. Food took about 45 minutes. Wasn’t too busy but food was excellent so I don’t mind waiting. Staff was friendly. They need to have silverware out at tables. Or hand it to you when you order. Prices are actually too cheap. $8 old fashioned, $6 for bacon and eggs and toast. Add $2, make more money, and that would still be a reasonable price. Put some menus on tables. It’s on the wall and you can’t see it until you approach the order counter. Also a sign to seat yourself would be nice. Decor is awesome. Just a cool spot. Everyone loved the food. Will be back.
My sister and I were driving around, looking for something to do and I’ve wanted to stop in here for some time so, doors were open, people inside, we walk in and sit down. Probably around 2:15-2:30. Granted I’m looking at the hours now and it does say they close at 3 on Sundays. But no one said anything when we sat down at the bar. This person (not going to call them a server based on service or lack thereof) took 5 or more minutes just to get us water, when there’s maybe 4 other people in there. I mean okay. Fine. They come back and I asked if they had a menu. They say no. It’s on the wall. If we want to order, the kitchen is closing soon. So we acknowledge this and get up to go look at the menu, hurry up and make a decision to get something to share so it’s less work for the kitchen people. We sat there for 10 or more minutes while this person was visibly dilly dallying. Not to mention during this time, there’s another girl a couple seats down that kept glancing in my sister and I’s direction, which was giving me a weird vibe and eventually gets up, walks over to the other side of the bar and is literally leaning over the bar whispering to this person, both glancing in our direction. Meanwhile, the owner, I’m pretty sure, from pictures I’ve seen between the paper and Facebook, was up front under the counter doing stuff for a few minutes before the person comes back and asks if we were ready to order, I politely said no thank you, we will pass. The owner didn’t interject! If I was the owner of an establishment and picked up on that, I would have said something. Two stars literally because of the cool decor. Or than that… really disappointed.
