This restaurant is a great choice for those who prefer upscale dining in a more formal setting. The food is delicious, the staff is knowledgeable, and the view of Longyearbyen is fantastic. Personally, I prefer a more relaxed atmosphere, so I found it a bit too stiff for my taste. However, dining with company would have likely enhanced the experience. The dishes, such as the smoked king crab soup and king crab legs, were excellent, though I wished the portions were smaller. Overall, I recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys high-class dining. You won't be disappointed.

I absolutely adored Funken Lodge. The hotel is stunning, with wonderful staff and service. The restaurant has a great selection of wine and food choices. I particularly enjoyed the delicious soft shell crab.
