Bidrage med feedbackMy daughter and I ate at Tandoori lame tonight. It was a rainy night, and we were the only customers in the restaurant. We were not sure what to expect. As we are vegetarian, the proprietor recommended the navatan korma that he would make up special, just for us. He said a lot of his vegetarian customers love it. We trusted his recommendation and it was indeed exceptional! a bit pricey, but 13 or $14 for the entrée, but we split it and added a couple of appetizers. The garlic Naan was a bit on the charred side, but the onion rings coated in chickpea flour were really wonderful. We will definitely go back for that korma alone! It was a real treat.
The food here is fresh and exciting. Presentation is also very nicely done. The restaurant is very clean and inviting. Their server Robin is amazing!!! She remembered my family on our second visit and even my Mango Lassi. I have visited with friends who have small children and she is very catering to them as well. Over all a wonderful experience on the palette and environment. Highly recommend it and wish I lived closer... I'd eat there everyday.
Seminole County Finally Gets a Great Indian Restaurant!. At last. A true Indian-Pakistani restaurant in the Longwood area which doesn't soften the aroma and spices for the American palate. Owing to the fact that this operation grew out of and continues to do catered events for the Indian-Pakistani community speaks to its authenticity. The tandoori is a must as well as beef nihari and curry. The onion pakora appetizer is the best I've ever had. Goat, which you don't see a lot of, is featured on the menu. Vegans and vegetarians have numerous options. The lunch buffet is worthwhile and is also good for vegetarians. The prices are very fair. This is a humble and casual atmosphere with owners who are committed to your happiness and are in it for the long haul.
I really liked their buffet, which my wife and I ate this noon. Our preference being vegan, we were able to easily put together something that satisfied us very well. The food was spiced but not overspiced to the point where people with oversensitive palates could not enjoy it (now I grew up 30 miles from the Mexican border, so I'm used to very spicy foods). Once again, my wife and I really enjoyed our experience, and we are looking forward to visiting there again.
This place is absolutely wonderful! They have a lovely lunch buffet and if you are vegetarian, you cannot miss the vegetable korma. Call ahead and if they are not serving it that day, the proprietor will likely offer to make it for you the next day. Truly a hidden treasure.
