Booshay's Bayou Cafe - Longview

So glad this is in Gladewater! We went for the first time last night and it was excellent. I had shrimp and grits...delicious. My husband had the fish and shrimp combo plate. He thought the fish was okay but loved the shrimp and coleslaw. He also had a cup of red beans and rice which were very good! Kids meals are typical and my kids enjoyed theirs. The staff though...they were all so friendly!! Service was great. While a little pricy we will still be back!!

I definitely DID NOT get my money's worth and the prices they have online are not correct. The 3 different plates I ordered we're a dollar more a piece when I looked at my receipt. As for the food, it wasn't as flavorful as I expected but the stuffed shrimp was actually decent. This was the first and last time I will get food from here.

Tried crawfish for the very first time since moving to Texas. And they are delicious! The spices and flavor is on point and the roasted potatoes are so yummy. We also tried their fried pickles and those were bomb too, a little salty but very good. Will definitely be back to try more of their food.

To be honest, I've heard mixed reviews about this restaurant. I decided to take my family out to a celebratory dinner tonight for one of my family members and decided to give it a try since it seemed like it would please both those who were craving fish and those who don't eat fish. Boy, am I glad I decided to give this place a try! We were all thoroughly impressed with everything! The food was great, and the service was excellent. Our server, Sarah, had no problem with our large party of 11 people (who don't get together very often and can be pretty crazy and loud when we do) and handled everything like a pro! She was very sweet and incredibly patient and kind with us all (which I know can sometimes be difficult when the kids and teenagers in the party drastically outnumber the adults). I will definitely be back! Thank you all for everything!

Very great place but if I Was hired to work here I can come up with some clever ideas that would make the place even more productive and come up with money saving ideas. All you have to do is call me . I have applied there and left a small note through the door.
