Just Diner Jié Sī Dān Ní Měi Shì Cān Jiǔ Guǎn

Came with a large group of people so we sat downstairs. After waiting a while for somebody to come take our orders, one of us went upstairs to be told that we each need to come upstairs to place our orders because they are too busy . Hire more staff if you are too busy to send someone downstairs to take our orders. When I went upstairs to order my food, I asked what is included in The Big Daddy . Gentleman at the register first told me one thing, then another, then another. I couldn 't get a straight answer about what was or wasn 't in the meal. At this point, I had been taking so long to try and order my food and there was so many people waiting behind me all of my friends who had to come up to take their order because nobody would come down to take our orders), I stepped aside to try to find something else on the menu to order. While I was looking through the menu again, I overheard that they do not even serve free water. I have never eaten at a restaurant that does not provide complimentary water. At this point, I chose to stay just to be with my friends but did not order anything. Such poor customer service does not deserve my consumer dollars. When THEIR food came however, many of them complained that their burgers and their sandwiches were over cooked. When one of us went upstairs to communicate this to them, they argued that this is just how they cook their food. It was only when one of us who knows the owner personally went upstairs to talk with him and tell him that this isn 't cool, we were told that we did not have to pay for the overcooked burgers and sandwiches and that we could just order something else off the menu. Some of our drinks didn 't arrive as well. Had to go upstairs to ask for them after waiting for long enough to realize that they weren 't coming. Of course,nobody ever came downstairs to make sure everything was ok, presumably because they were too busy , but when I went upstairs, two of the staff were playing on their phones. It was not a good experience. There are many restaurants in Taichung that provide better customer service than my friends and I received tonight.

Ordered a bacon burger. It was burnt on both sides. Two friends ordered the same and their's were burnt as well. Now this wasn't mild charring, it tasted like charcoal. Complained about it, but the cook had a dismissive attitude and said that's the way all their burgers are. He did offer an exchange for another dish but I wasn't in the mood to eat by then.

The female staff was rude and unprofessional. I received the wrong dish, then when I told them about it my food was presented like this. This looks nothing like the photos. I’m very dissatisfied with the way in which I was treated. The female staff even proceeded to gossip about us in Chinese thinking we don’t understand. There were no napkins placed on the table or utensils, we had to her everything for ourselves while the staff sat on their phones.

The place was really nice. Visited on New year for the first time and loved the people serving there and tacos :

Awesome food. I highly recommend anything with their pulled pork or BBQ sauce : Fish and chips were also amazing.
