Bidrage med feedbackWonderful estate to visit. Convict tour was very informative. I was too let for the main house tour unfortunately. I felt the lady running the restaurant was a bit rude. Other volunteers were very friendly and helpful. Will go back when the roses are in full bloom, it will be stunning then.
Fine dining INDEED !! One day our group (of 4 adults) had main courses including succulent slow cooked Cape Grim beef, hamburger etc. Like it so much that we returned the next day to lunch on a selection of starters, followed by great desserts that we couldn 't 'fit in ' on the previous day. NO disappointments. We 'll be back when next in N TAS.
Exceptional good Robbins Island Waghyu Steak with Mushrooms. We also had the Petite Cheeseburger and the Beef Stroganoff Pasta. The chips that came with the steak is very unusual but delicious and crispy. The setting is very modern and spacious.
Homage Restaurant at Woolmers Estate sits within the new visitor centre at the entrance of the estate. Staff were friendly, and it seems to be a family run business. Meals were delicious, the pot pies were beautiful, the pumpkin soup lovely, however the okonomiyaki left something to be desired. That said, the venue was lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch.
Highly recommended... The Rose Garden was amazing...did not allow enough time to visit and will return to explore more of the heritage buildings and the convict trail. The restaurant was very well appointed with a fantastic menu and a very generous serving with friendly staff.
