Whitney's - Longboat Key

I love it. So original, however my husband would like less fish choices on menu. Not very extensive but I understand given the type of place. Small, quaint and quirky. Strawberry salad is good but really wanted breakfast which apparently is only served on Weekends. (We r locals and here during the week. Cute how the outside is set up for guests including cloth napkins and silverware. Very unique bottle of water for the table.

Really cool place, we had a large group of 14 and were seated immediately as they weren’t too busy. We got our food and drink orders in right away however, the food didn’t come out until a little over an hour later. And everything was very bland. I ordered the fish tacos and though they weren’t small they weren’t large either. For the price I’d have thought there’d be at least three. It was all well cooked and presented but 0/10 for flavor, not even a sauce or crème. The live music was cool and the place had a great vibe, maybe needs some more experienced cooks (I think it was just 1 woman). All in all, it seems like a cool place to hang out and maybe get a few drinks, but for the food price I’d expect much much better quality than what we received…

Okay so the atmosphere was great I love the look of the restaurant, the service we had was great.. but unfortunately the food was super disappointing… My fiancé ordered the burger and I ordered the fish sandwich… And the bread was horrible on both.. it was like stale I think? and like falling apart it was really weird. And the ranch with the salad wasn’t the best either it was like chunky almost looked frozen..

Enjoyed our 1st experience at Whitney's. It's such a cute spot, so glad we came. Our server Lilly was amazing! Had a couple of drinks the Sarah Soda especially was so refreshing). Fish and shrimps tacos and queso were tasty. Forr dessert, Lilly recommended the Florida Sunshine and it didn't disappoint. It was an orange cake with frosting and white chocolate chips. Never had something like this before, just so good!

I recently went to Whitney’s by myself for dinner and then to watch the sunset on the beach. I had seen this place online and loved the retro look and vibe of it. The atmosphere was awesome and the food did not disappoint. I got the LBK bowl with chicken on recommendation from the server and it was absolutely delicious! Will definitely be back!
