Bidrage med feedbackFirst time having this since they changed ownership. Same chef. After walking around a while it was the place I felt the best for outdoor seating on a really cold night. Mostly closed but open enough to be ventilated. The food was delish! Service was great. Bill was cheap because BYOB.
First time here on Mother's Day, was referred by a friend. My husband is not a person on trying other culture foods. The waiter lady was patient with him by explaining what they have the taste. She also said we could bring our own drinks. My husband got, dish called: (CHICKEN TIKKA) $17 w/ 1 lemon rice $6 Garlic Naan $3. Also, she remembers what children usually order for my children to try: (BUTTER CHICKEN MILD comes w/white rice green peas on top) $17. I likeanything, so I told her to give me their popular dish: (Spicy Lambseekh Kabab) $19 with a side of salad called: Saag Paneer MILD $15 which my whole family loved. Also, we got 2 starters that the waiter suggested called: Samosa $5 LasuniGobi $6. Both we're really good that my children were excited to try there main dish. I attached photos, forgot to take a photo of the starters. Will definitely go back again. Update: Got home and checked on my leftovers, the waiter didn'tput all my food to go. Make sure you check your leftover food before you walk out.
Best nun breads. After the change of ownership, this place really kicked up the flavor. But they can get some better quality meat. Good service as well.
If youre reading this review because youre on the fence about ordering, then this is your sign to go for it. The absolute BEST Paneer Tikka Masala Ive ever had. The perfect amount of spice and flavor. Long after Ive finished my meal, maybe even days later, Im still thinking about how delicious it was. Ive ordered from here a few times and every time was amazing. This is my favorite place in Queens. Maybe even all of New York City. Stop reading and order now. You owe it to yourself to get the best.
Cardamom is only just ok, its not amazing by any stretch. It should be better fare given its proximity to the excellent Indian restaurants in Jackson Heights. Too bad. The prices are VERY high for what you get honestly. Im not usually one to complain about cost either. Imo the entrees are about $10 over what they should be for the quality and size of the dish. Had the 42. Tikka Masala and the 43. Korma been $15 and $16 respectively I would have said they were a good value but since they are $25 and $26 dishes I expect more in terms of quality. There were 5 or 6 chunks of overcooked chicken in the 42. Tikka Masala and about the same of the nameless white fish (my guess is tilapia) in the 43. Korma. No complaints about the 69. Garlic Naan and the 6. Mango Chutney both were tasty and reasonably priced. Sunnysiders just shouldnt settle for sub par Indian fare.
