Louisiana Charlie's - Long Beach

Have been wanting to try Louisiana Charlie's for a while now, it seems like I always choose to go when it is closed. Fortunately I got a chance to try it the other day. When arriving the only available table was in the sun, so I grabbed it, the hostess explained that I had to order online and pay with CC. This process was a huge pain but I go through it. At first I thought it was because of Covid but I'm still not sure. Strange because they have someone bring you drinks and the food so why not take your order as well. With all that the food is delicious, the gumbo is amazing and tasted authentic. Prices are on the higher side but the quality and portion size were worth it for me. The next time I go hopefully they will have servers and I'll wait for a table on the dock side for a better experience.

Ate there today, I don't like the order your meal ahead of being seated. Also having to tip with no table service after the food is being bought to the table. Got no refills on our drinks and waited 15 20 minutes to get to go containers. The bill for Two people with the tip was 105.00.

The service was fast and a little friendly, depends only on who they get. the atmosphere was beautiful. we sat outside with a great view.

Excellent restaurant for the taste of Creole food, great Gumbo,Shrimp,Creole Jambalaya, and Crawfish Étouffée my favorite. Their are other tasty dishes on the menu so you can't go wrong ordering from the menu. The ordering process is non contact, and other words you download their app. and place your order while they prepare your order. The process is very quick and the view of the ocean from Long Beach is nice. Check them out you won't be disappointed.

My husband and I came here at 4:30 pm to eat on July 4, 2022, I ordered the four piece fried chicken wings and added two side dishes one was the potatoes salad and the other one was the mac and cheese. My ordered tasted good. My husband ordered the half rack pork baby back ribs and added two sides also, one was the garlic bread and the other one was the coleslaw. He said the ribs meat was dry and hard even with the sauce that were on the ribs. Around 2:00 am we were both awakened and experiencing awful abdominal pains, cramps, flatulence, bloating and nauseous and lastly diarrhea with up to several trips to the toilet to get rid of what we ate at this restaurant. There was no doubt in my mind that we got food poisoning here because this was the only place we ate at the entire day. Needless to say we will not be returning.
