The Oak Grill - London

Came in for the 4.99 breakfast special was told because it's family day it's holiday weekend pricing. Ok but the sign doesn't have an asterisks or anything but whatever the adults order the special and pay the full price 7.29. The potatoes tasted like old leftover potatoes. My tea was ice cold when she brought it to me. They offered to refill my husbands coffee 3 times but ever asked if I wanted more hot water. The children's menu only goes to age 10 and it doesn't have a lot of selection. I will not return.

I used to come to this location when it was called GG's (Golden Griddle) and decided to give the new owners a try. Had the hungry man breakfast and was satisfied. The home fries were really good. The GF had the clubhouse, decent portion, good french fries. The service was fast and friendly and the dinning area was clean.

The Oak Grill recently reopened but I suspect that it will not be open for very long. I stopped there for breakfast and my first clue that I was making a mistake was that the place was almost empty. One look at their menu and prices told me why !! A large sign showed a $5 breakfast special but it is not available on weekends. The food was adequate at best but not worth what they charge. I will never go back. London has many great breakfast places that offer far better food at lower cost.

This place used to be a pancake house. Now they do dinners on the weekend. The steak was quite nice for the price, but all of the accopanying food was overdone and tasteless. The teapot just leaked all over everything, but the waitress was very nice and helpful. The rating of 3 stars is because some of it was a 1 star and some nearly a five. You might want to take your chances... depending on how ad enturous you are.

Only open for supper on Friday and Saturday nights and their dinner menu just fell a little short. Everything was ok but nothing to bring you back. Service was good. I would be more than willing to try again for breakfast or lunch.
