Miso Sushi - London

This is our to-go Sushi place in town- or should we say: used to be. It used to be reliable and we would bring friends from out of town and colleagues here. recently thought, for the second or even third time now, it was not good. Stay away from any bento box with chicken teriyaki. dry rubbery chicken with some sauce slapped over. the tempura used to always be fabulous, again it happened that the batter was too thick and gooey tasting ... the rolls also were not as good as we are used to . We are now debating if will be back. We liked to support this small, what looks like family run, business as they are also always very friendly, but this inconsistency in food preparation is really bothersome.

I live in the Oxford and Wonderland area of London which has a glut of sushi restaurants Heart, 168, Wonder et al. I will however drive downtown and deal with parking etc. to get Miso Sushi. I haven’t tried every place in town but Miso is better that the others I’ve had. Everything just tastes a little fresher and crisper there. The sushi pieces have respectable pieces of fish, unlike some places that seem to give you a translucent shaving on top of a mound of rice. One unusual thing is if you want sushi pieces they are on a separate menu that you have to request. The rest of the menu is very diverse and uniformly well prepared.

It’s the best Japanese food in London!! Great and fast service!!! This was the third time we went and each time the food was amazing!

Ordered take away from here last night. It was tasty. The salmon tasted fresh as did the wasabi. The rolls were on the small side. Could have been bigger, but overall a decent place for sushi in the London Richmond St area.

Family owned and operated, remarkable korean roll, all is fresh and yummy. The staff is fast, attentive and friendly. Must try korean menu!
