Great food. inventive menu, large service. loved ruth maitre d/ manager. loved it twice.
We live in the kensal rise area and have been in the dock kitchen for several years, mostly for special occasions like birthdays. it is an oasis of style and channel side escapism a much needed antidote for the French-City landscape around them. people who enjoy design get an additional kick from the identification of a series of tom dixon lights and house furniture over the it area dotted, and can treat themselves to a visit of the showroom below during the daytime. eating can be quite experimental and often change. we had some excellent meal times over the years, and some that do not seem to work quite, but it is always interesting! this time we went for their very cheap ten pound lunch menu. it was tasty, but if you eat something more adventurous a la carte.
It was the second time we had dinner at the dock kitchen. The food is always creative and very good, some very noce vegetarian options too. I had the bavette which is a typical and very tasty French cut, not easy to find in London. The chimichurri sauce was really nice and the staff was happy to bring some more. Love the flat bread that is served as appetiser. We could have a real conversation without having to shout at each other to cover the loud music or noise. Will definitely come back
We were there on a dark, rainy night, would love to return on a sunny day as the Dock Kitchen has a large deck overlooking the canal. Sleek, modern interior with open plan kitchen. Service professional. The lamb briyani was enjoyed by two fellow guests. I thought the fish expensive so had the vegetarian option. I think it will be a popular addition to this area.
