Bidrage med feedbackI visited this sushi bar and had a great dinner with my oniichan, the service was great ...
Like. Outstanding food. Outstanding service. Special.
The whole chicken was very small (it said it was for 2 to 3 people but far from it). The corn we were served was pathetic (skinny corn and dry) as if it had been in the kitchen for ages. Peri peri chips were not properly peri peri chips (it was just regular chips and some peri peri seasoning on top). On top of that, the prices have increased along with inflation I assume. Very disappointed and will not come again. The presentation of the food was also pathetic.
Excellent service from the people on the floor, very good food, overal great experience! Recommend everyone!
Chicken and chips. Chicken and chips. Chicken and chips. It’s even lovely to say the words. The pleasing alliteration of the ‘ch’ sound. The assonance of the short ‘i’ sound repeated three times (since the ‘e’ in chicken is pronounced like an ‘i’: CHIKin). In fact, the way the two ‘i’ sounds are squeezed in between the consonants even makes the word 'chicken ' sound juicy. Apart from phonetic fun, to me chicken and chips also means Nando’s. The South African chain is superior to Colonel Sanders’ operation and his many, many imitators because Nando’s chicken is grilled instead of fried, which I believe makes it taste better and also makes me feel less guilty about eating it. Saturday night in and nothing to eat? Not to worry, a few taps on the Deliveroo app and my order was complete. Five minutes later, I received a call from one of the chickenistas to tell me they’d run out of broccoli, which my date was on the fence about anyway. She now had the perfect excuse to have the garlic bread she’d wanted from the start. A squawk at the door thirty minutes later and our food was with us, and still hot too. Inside the bag, there was a double chicken burger, peri-salted fries and a portion of macho peas waiting for me. Two thick, white, juicy chicken breasts were stuffed inside a Portuguese roll, with a garnish of lettuce, tomato and mayo, and topped with a soft warm slice of grilled halloumi. It was something special. Peri-salted chips, dusty with orange spicy seasoning, were a pile of starchy satisfaction and the minty macho peas provided some balance to all the carbs and protein. Nando’s left my taste buds tingling and my stomach stuffed. Two mains and four sides came to just over thirty quid, including delivery and service fees, which is cheap, so cheer yourself up by getting your chops around some chicken and chips.
