The Sanderson is back and I visited the Long Bar last night for the first time since they reopened. I’m pleased to say that it is still perfect in every way—great cocktails, friendly and knowledgeable staff and the right type of eclectic people for you to mingle with and enjoy your evening. It’s impressive that this bar has been my favourite in london for the last twenty years and it looks like it’s on track to maintain that position for the foreseeable future.

This bar is no longer what it used to be. They used to make great cocktails and had good wines, now they serve low quality drinks comparable to what you would get in any local cheap pub. Unattentive bar staff, we were charged for drinks we didn't order. Not going back.

We went back to the Long Bar after the long Covid closure. Very disappointing. The bar was not crowded, we wondered why. Cocktails were just average and at the end we were overcharged. We had only 2 margaritas and 2 white wine glasses, but were charged for 3 each. The bill seemed excessive, but we blamed it on inflation. Unfortunately I realised it only this morning…
