Charlotte's W5 - London

We booked a table that was confirmed, but when we arrived there, the restaurant was closed because of flooding. I know that these things happen, but what would have been useful is to tell the booked customers that their table would not be available. on this wise we will not go to the door to nearby places to see if they can take a party of 5 on a Friday evening in December.

The restaurant is currently closed, so more open table would never have allowed this booking to go further, we showed up and the restaurant was closed because of a flut. I've been in the restaurant before and it was great that I'm really angry with open table.

We have made a reservation and looking for a note on the window to say that there were floods and the restaurant was closed by that. very sad that this happened as knowing how stressful this can be, but I wonder why customers who had booked were not alerted.

Charlottes w5 used to be one of our favourites to eat and entertain friends, but recently the dinge seems to have gone a bit wrong. when we arrived, we were told that most fresh fish dishes were not available because the supplier might not have supplied any disturbing sign? the sweet potatoes gnocchi were not good, the others were okay. the service was, however, very complete and not on the standard for the prices they raise in my opinion. it was not busy, but we had to draw attention to order and ask twice for the beverage menu. chips were forgotten, coffee was forgotten, the personal looked haunted. on the plus side the appetizers arrived immediately and were good (although from any reason the Caesar salad was not available? odd) and the waitress offered a free pudding in exchange for a plate of uneaten gnocchi. we can return, but unfortunately I don't think we have the chance to invite friends there again.

Underwhelming for the price. Lovely setting but staff are overstretched and the food is overpriced.
